Great ideas. I find these door hangers are effective and I suggest:

Subject: [LPL Board of Directors] Outreach Potential

Hello everyone. I know many of you don't hear from me often and perhaps
that is best. I certainly prefer just handling the money and answering
financial questions. However, I would like to very quickly make a proposal
to everyone for them to think about. I have worked for several political
campaigns, including the Gary Johnson Campaign, and I also currently work
on Public Outreach for a non-profit in Shreveport. I have been researching
and trying to find the best way to really reach out and increase our
number of registered Libertarians, as well as our exposure, while keeping
the process as cost effective as possible. So below is a proposal to
increase registration AND exposure for everyone to look at and think about
based on my experience and research.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
An organization needs to reach the average person 3 different ways to make
sure they really hear the message of that organization and remember the
name. So, how do we reach our independent, third party, and major party
voters while remaining cost effective? We need to do this on a parish by
parish basis to ensure it is effective and cost effective. Below is our 3
ways:

1. Mass Mailing. We can buy a registered voters list and get the names and
addresses of whatever group we want to target. If we do basic, two sided
post cards, that would be a great idea. It's cost effective for the most
part.

2. Door Hangers. Whatever area we hit with mailing, we also need to hit
with door hangers. This is our second way of reaching people. Whatever
approach the mailing takes towards reaching people, the door hangers need
to take a different approach.

3. Free Media. This one is up to the PEC. This includes radio, letters to
the editor, etc.

In order to really pull this off, we would need a strong PEC with people
in that area that are willing to work. I can only think of two Parishes
right now that would be good candidates. Oddly enough, they are on
different sides of the state. St. Tammany and Bossier are the only ones I
know of with the manpower to pull this off.

If nothing else, lets get started on making designs for door hangers and
post cards. When we have the money and manpower to move forward with
something like this, we have the designs ready to go.
