[LPL Board of Directors] Investigative Committee

To all Board Members,

I have appointed an investigative committee to ascertain the validity of 
the charges leveled against Mr. Lewis.

This committee consists of:

Wes Benedict - Finance Officer
Howard Kearney - Membership Officer
Boyd Smith - Elections Officer

I have sent them preliminary instructions and more will be forthcoming.

The committee will conduct its investigation with the utmost discretion.

They are tasked with gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and 
drafting a resolution for the Board to consider at it's judicial session.

They may choose to proffer the charges and specifications as listed, or 
they may return less, or others, or find that no charges are warranted 
at all.

Although the initial meeting call refers to removal, it is entirely 
within the discretion of this committee to recommend appropriate 
disciplinary measures for the charges they ultimately bring.  Of course 
this committee's resolution and suggested measure(s) will be debateable 
and amendable by the Board.

I stress to all Board members that this entire matter is private to this 
board.  To protect the rights of the accused, and the Party, this issue, 
these charges, and the specifications are NOT to be discussed in any 
manner with anyone who is not a Board member.  To do so would be a 
serious breach of privacy for the accused and may constitute libel, 
which would open up this Party and any involved members in such behavior 
to legal action.

If anyone has any information related to these charges, please submit 
such to the investigative committee.  If the committee requests an 
interview with you concerning these matters, please comply with their 
requests for any information or knowledge you may have.  At all times, 
it is within your rights not to be identified or named as a source of 
information if you so choose.
