[LPL Board of Directors] Donation question

Howard,
Your questions are never an interruption.
The various levels are a marketing ploy for now. We decided that if we only
had one level, that's all we'd get. Same with the annual membership levels.
If you make a one-time donation, I think you also get to choose from preset
levels or declare your own custom amount.
Our former Membership Officer had been working on getting quotes for producing
membership cards. I think he gave all his research to Reed. If you can get
that stuff from him and then follow up, that would be great. I've been meaning
to ask you about doing so, but for some reason, I keep getting side tracked
with other issues if you catch my drift. I know your time is valuable, and I
have already asked a great deal of you, but if you have a bit to spare to
report back some figures at the next meeting I would appreciate it. If not,
that's okay. We'll get it straight for next time. When you get to it, we're
looking for a nice credit card style member card. Raised lettering is
preferred, though we may have to save that for high dollar members, or even
buy our own lettering press to make it cost effective. I've looked into card
printers, but that's in the multi-thousand dollar range.
At the moment, we just want cards for the various annual levels. I think
we'll end up doing 'thank you' gifts for the one-time donors and pledges.
(and maybe some gifts for the higher membership levels as well)
We have no lifetime member level yet. One was suggested but the motion died
without being voted on. I'll try again this next meeting if there is time.
The Bylaws authorize it, but do not specify the level. We've never had
lifetime memberships before and we only have had dues since 2008 when I was in
my first stint as Chair, so I don't think there are any from many moons ago
that we need to honor.
