[LPL Board of Directors] MOTION FROM THE CHAIR - urgent - radio advertising

Adrien Monteleone chairman at lplouisiana.org
Wed Apr 10 00:35:14 CDT 2013

The numbers are close enough not to quibble over.

The reasons I stated why I think this is a good use of a small amount of funds
are still valid, in fact, the larger the festival the more validity my point
may hold.

As to the issue of new people coming aboard - no one is harmed by this save
Mr. Smith because the requirement for passage may have thus been higher than
those willing to respond since they are so new.

Your objection is noted and has already been addressed. Repeating it doesn't
change anything.

As well, it holds little water.

I spoke to you personally on Saturday and advised you of most of what you
needed to know face to face.

I also advised you to keep an eye out for your email with the new LPL address
instructions. You received that yesterday at 4;58pm.

I have since forwarded all of you the relevant messages from the mailing list
dealing with issues that we will be addressing at this meeting.

Yes, I forgot to add the new rep addresses to the mailing list before this
motion was sent out. Keith asked a question which prompted to remind me to do
so and everyone was copied appropriately - no one was left out. The motion
was still young and no one was demanding votes from anyone. I think I've
addressed that issue sufficiently in my previous response.

Mr. Salgado is free to speak for himself, as is Mr. Mounts. This is now the
second time I will call you to order on this point.

For the benefit of everyone else, I sent Albert Salgado, the Orleans Rep, his
email instructions at 3:30 on April 2nd. That was a week ago. I sent those
instructions to the address HE wrote down on the sign-in sheet at the caucus.
It did not bounce. There's only so much I can do. Since you sent me a
different email address in a recent message, I've sent him a message to that
address to make sure he's squared away and to let him know to contact me if he
has issues.

I find you seem to have an odd pre-occupation with serving as "conversation
mediator" for others instead of letting them speak for themselves or handle
their own issues. Or perhaps, you just want to inject yourself into
everything. I'm not sure. But it is not welcome.

I never suggested you needed to support someone else's project to get support
for yours.

I suggested for you not to be so condescending and negative out of the gate.

You're new here and you're making a really poor initial impression. Attacking
the Chair or any other member in your first interactions isn't what one would
consider "professionalism" or "civil" behavior according to Robert's.

We are not generally an adversarial group. We'd rather focus on building the
party.

Let's get back to that task.
