[LPL Board of Directors] MOTION FROM THE CHAIR - urgent - radio advertising

I vote nay.

I appreciate the effort and usually like to vote in favor of most
things. However, as we've been putting out notices asking for urgent
funds, I think spending on radio advertising is not appropriate. I also
seriously doubt it will impact revenue at such an event.

One potential way to still make it happen at significant personal risk
-- whomever thinks it's a great idea can pay for it directly out of
pocket. Then, if the booth raises plenty of money to cover the cost of
the radio ad and booth plus some profit, let the committee know, give
the funds to the treasurer, then ask the committee to consider
reimbursing you. Just a suggestion. I've had a habit of paying for
things out of pocket over the years to avoid hassles and hard feelings.
