[LPL Board of Directors] Vacancy Appointment - Treasurer

To all Board members,

Per the Bylaws, Article 8 § 7(b):

"7. Vacancies which may occur in the State Central Committee, for any 
reason,
shall be filled as follows:
...
b. In the case that the offices of Vice-Chairman, Secretary or Treasurer is
vacated the Chairman shall appoint, with the approval of the State Central
Committee, a successor to serve the remainder of the term of that office."

As the office of Treasurer was vacated on October 6th, 2012by 
nonattendance of David Chance, and the Secretary, under Article 7§4 has 
been serving as Acting Treasurer since then, I hereby appoint Caleb 
Trotter to the office of Treasurer.

Caleb has a background in business and economics, and is currently a law 
student. He also served as our candidate for U.S. House district 2 in 
2012.  He is active in his local Orleans parish affiliateand I believe 
he will make a fine Treasurer.

Added to the agenda for Saturday will be a confirmation vote of this 
appointment.

Acting Treasurer Reed Ebarb and myself will work with Caleb over the 
next few days and weeks to see to it that there is an orderly transition 
of access to the bank account and financial records.
